Tuition Assistance Information

Thank you for your interest in Rocky Mountain Christian Academy! We understand that the thought of paying tuition can be overwhelming for some families, and appreciate your inquiry about tuition assistance. The goal of the Tuition Assistance program is to help parents who desire a Christian education for their children, but who cannot afford the cost of tuition. We cannot guarantee tuition assistance to any family, because the amount we have available is dependent on the generosity of donors, but we have been able to assist many families in providing Christian education for their children.

How does it work?

Each year, those seeking tuition assistance are required first to register their students for school. Because the application process for tuition assistance involves a careful look at a family’s finances, we do not allow families to apply for tuition assistance until they have been accepted for enrollment.

After acceptance, families apply for tuition assistance. RMCA uses an outside company to assess financial need, with a formula based on years of experience working with many Christian schools.

Wonder if you might qualify?

The formulas used to calculate your FACT (Family Anticipated Contribution Total - in other words, how much you can afford to pay) take into consideration your personal income, expenses, family size, and some types of assets. Because of thi,s it is not fair to say that if you make under or over a certain amount that you will or will not qualify.

However, a good rule of thumb is this: If monthly tuition exceeds 10% of your monthly net income, then you will probably want to apply. You may or may not qualify, but it will be worth your time to determine if you do.

RMCA also partners with an organization called ACE Scholarships, who funds some of our scholarships through their program. To qualify for an ACE Scholarship, you must meet certain income eligibility guidelines: for households of 2, the maximum annual income to qualify is $22,422; for households of 3, a maximum of $28,231; for households of 4, $34,040; and for households of 5, $39,849.
