RMCA has exceptional and highly trained faculty and staff committed to the spiritual, academic, physical, and social development of each child. They model the virtues they teach. While they are passionate and capable of guiding each child’s growth, our teachers have a comprehensive method which informs their philosophy and practice. It is through the strength of this approach that we are able to maintain consistency across the variety of personalities and backgrounds leading our classes.

Amanda Fox comes to RMCA with a passion for mentoring and teaching youth through adulthood. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in K-12th Grade Education with an emphasis in music and a minor in Bible from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, as well as a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, Policy Studies, and Administration through the University of Texas at Arlington. Prior to joining Rocky Mountain Christian Academy, Amanda served as the Director of Omaha & Elkhorn Schools Foundation in Nebraska and shifted to teaching after moving to Colorado. Her teaching experience includes high school and college level Bible, theater, PreK-12th grade music, middle and high school choir, elementary band, high school jazz band, competitive jazz choir, show choir, musical theater, yearbook, cheer, and dance. Having a passion for performing arts, she performed in musical theater and competitive choirs for 20 years as well as acted, directed, and choreographed for musical theater performance companies in Colorado and Nebraska. She writes and directs the musical ministry titled ‘Ransomed’ each year with local youth.
Amanda loves spending time with her son, Elijah, and doing various outdoor activities and art together. Amanda enjoys traveling to new destinations, attending concerts, kayaking, sand volleyball, being an Ambassador for Subaru of America, and participating in motorsports.
Mrs. Schaefer joined RMCA in 2014. She is a Colorado University grad. She holds a B.A. in Psychology and Education. Her Master’s Degree is in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Literacy. She has taught kindergarten, first, and second grade. She has been involved in Women’s and Small Group Ministry. Mrs. Schaefer was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado. She and her husband Tyler live in Longmont with their three children. She loves to read, attend sporting events, and scuba dive. She plays on a co-ed, indoor soccer league.
Mrs. Lind joined RMCA in 2004 in the preschool program as a Teacher’s Aide and Lead Teacher. She then transitioned to Early Education Director and Health Liaison in 2014. She holds a degree in Applied Human Science from CSU and Early Childhood Director qualifications from Front Range Community College. She has been a member of Rocky Mountain Christian Church since 1999, where she has been involved in leadership with MOPS and Sunday School. Mrs. Lind was born in the Chicago area and moved to Greeley, Colorado in junior high. In high school, she met her husband, Rick. They have two grown daughters and have welcomed a son-in-law to their family. When she is not in the classroom, Stacy enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, camping, and traveling to Hawaii.

Ms. Depue joined RMCA in 2017. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Christian Studies and Elementary Education from Crown College in Minnesota. Previously she was a substitute teacher in northern California, taught kindergarten thru eighth grade at a country school in rural Nebraska, and was an instructional aide and tutor after moving to Colorado in 2008. Ms. Depue enjoys nature walks and camping as well as handwork and baking.
Heather Adams has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Northern Colorado. Heather's children have been attending RMCA since 2011. After many years of being a parent volunteer in the classroom, Ms. Adams joined the RMCA staff as a classroom aide and office aide in 2019. Heather enjoys spending time with her family, and cooking yummy gluten free food. Heather and her family attend Grace Church in Longmont, Colorado.

Ms. Metivier was born and raised in Longmont Colorado and recently graduated from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix Arizona with her bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. While she was in college, she worked with a refugee ministry where she was able to tutor and share the gospel with refugees from all over the world. Outside of school, Ms. Metivier loves paddle boarding, reading and spending time with her family including her two nieces.
Mrs. Tadewald began teaching third grade at RMCA in 2010. Previously she substituted, taught part-time, and taught full-time in various schools, including Longmont Christian, for many years. Mrs. Tadewald holds a Bachelors’ degree from Colorado State and a Post B.A. Elementary Education degree from University of Colorado in Boulder. Her family includes her husband, Tom, and two adult children (both RMCA alumni). She and her family attend First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Longmont.
Mrs. Louwers began teaching at RMCA in 2018. She received a Bachelor's of Science at Michigan State University. Shortly after, she met her husband, Bob, and they moved to Colorado where they raised their 5 children. She homeschooled all of her children in Charlotte Mason for 14 years. Mrs. Louwers loves to garden, cook, hike, and spend time with her family and church community.
Mrs. Kline began working at RMCA in 2008. She worked as a Preschool Teacher while her two children attended RMCA. She took a two year hiatus to focus on being a mom to high schoolers and is now back to help in the Kindergarten classroom. She holds early childhood education credentials from Front Range Community College. She lives with her family and 3 dogs in Berthoud. She enjoys reading, being outside, volunteering, and growing in God’s word with others.
Christine Wilson joined RMCA in 2021. She received her B.A. in Dance from Western Michigan University. Christine grew up assisting in and teaching children’s ballet, tap and creative movement classes. She is also a certified Pilates Instructor and enjoyed running her own studio for several years. In her free time, Christine likes to run, hike, snowboard and camp with her family. Her three children began attending RMCA in 2021 and she is excited to be a part of this amazing school and community.

My name is Mrs. Dianne Fegley. I am a native of Colorado. I now live in Boulder, Colorado.I went to school at Community College of Denver and got my Associate Degree in Nursing, and my Bachelor of Science in Nursing, from Graceland University. I got my teacher aide certificate, when Covid-19 was in process , initially. This was from an accredited school, on line.I was a pediatric office nurse for 28 years, and retired early in 2017. I missed the children, and wanted to interact with children again.I will be a 2nd grade aide, and lunch room and playground monitor. I like to take photos, bible studies, read, and sing.I have a 2 year old rescue beagle-terrier,1 grown son who is married and has 6 children, ages 12 through 3.

Lindsey Schaller joined RMCA in the spring of 2022. Ms. Schaller received a Bachelors of Science in Biology and a Bachelors of Arts in Chemistry from Metropolitan State University of Denver. After graduating, she taught at Christian schools in South Korea before moving back to Colorado in early 2022. She has a heart for mentoring and teaching young people, and is humbled to serve at RMCA. Ms. Schaller enjoys spending time with family, traveling, film photography, hiking, and cooking.
Laura Coors joined the RMCA staff in August of 2022. Miss Coors was born in China, but grew up in Evergreen, CO. She is 1 of 10 children, and 1 of 6 adopted in her family. She received a BA in Elementary Education and a minor in Spanish in 2018 and a BME in Music Education in 2021 from Westmont College. In between her first and second bachelors degrees, Miss Coors was an associate teacher at Grand County Christian Academy (formally Winter Park Christian School) teaching multiple subjects 1st through 6th grade. After her BME, Miss Coors was the library teacher and the assistant teacher for 5th and 6th grade at Providence School in Santa Barbara, California. Miss Coors loves watching her students make discoveries and taking their learning to heart as they grow and mature in their faith. She is excited to be a part of cultivating the minds and hearts of these middle schoolers. Miss Coors enjoys spending her time singing in choral ensembles around the community, playing her violin or viola, reading, game nights, traveling, and spending time with her LARGE family either at home or at their cattle ranch.
Mrs. Robinson started teaching preschool at RMCA in 2010. Before joining our Middle School staff, she taught 1st and 2nd grades. Mrs. Robinson holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Baylor University and a Master's in Education from Regis University. Mrs. Robinson, who grew up in Alaska and has also lived in Texas and Washington, enjoys reading, traveling, hiking, and skiing.
Mrs. Wurth and her family have been at RMCA since 2008. Lori’s passion is helping people grow and develop, and she has a heart and a knack for understanding and relating to Middle School students. She teaches classes such as Christian Leadership, Communication, and Human Resource Management at Colorado Christian University. She has a Master’s of Science in Management and Organization from the University of Colorado and studied business and psychology at CSU for her undergraduate work. She attends church at Trailhead, a new church plant in Longmont, with her husband and two kids.
Christy Glaze has been an RMCA parent for many years and joined our staff in 2016. Mrs. Glaze has a passion for helping students grow in their demonstration of Christ's love for the Spanish speakers in our community and throughout the world through learning some of their language and culture. She has a Master’s in Curriculum & Instruction with emphasis in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESL) from CU Denver. She also has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Seattle Pacific University. Christy stays active with four sons at home, 1 of whom still attends RMCA, 1 who graduated from RMCA and is in high school, and 2 who went to RMCA and are now in college. Christy and her husband, David, and their family attend Christian Home Fellowship of Boulder.

Jennifer Rieger has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from CU Boulder. She has been teaching art to students of all ages for over 15 years. Jennifer has an extensive knowledge in art history, portraiture and has worked in most mediums. Jennifer specializes in drawing, composition, and color theory. She is excited to share her knowledge with her students. Outside of school, Jennifer enjoys skiing, hiking, attending museums, art, and cooking. She has two teenagers at Fairview High School.
Mrs. Gifford's background includes five years in higher education, recruiting at a Christian liberal arts college, six years as school counselor at comprehensive public high schools, and academic advising at a state university. She has degrees from Wheaton College (B.A.) and Northern Illinois University (M.S. Ed). Sonja is from New England, but, after 13 years in Longmont, can't imagine living elsewhere. Sonja has served at her church as a greeter, mentor to single moms, and Bible Study leader. She enjoys camping, hiking, and any type of skiing with her husband and two daughters.

Mrs. Hunt joined RMCA staff in 2018 and became an RMCA parent in 2019. Mrs. Hunt holds a degree in liberal arts and has completed certificates in Early Childhood teaching and directing. She is currently continuing her education at Colorado Christian University working on an additional Early Childhood Education degree. She and her husband live in Erie with their two sons. Her family attends Calvary Bible Church where she directed both the MOPS Kids program and the Thursday morning Kids Bible Study. In her spare time she loves to knit, fold origami, bake, hike, and spend time with her family.
Mrs. Amy Smith received her bachelor of arts degree in Psychology and Biblical studies with an emphasis in Women’s Ministry at San Diego Christian College. Mrs. Smith graduated in 2003 and married her husband right after graduation. Amy and her husband have served in ministry for the last 20 years working mostly with high school & college students. Over the years, Amy has held many different roles in the various churches she worked. Most recently, Amy was women’s ministry director for five years and volunteered with the high school ministry discipling women and youth. Amy had her three kids in a Christian private school in Hawaii where she substitute taught and volunteered for years. Her hobbies are surfing and shell picking (which are hard to do in Colorado), reading, a yummy latte, and thrifting. She also enjoys paddle boarding, but most of all being with her family at home. Amy is excited to be at RMCA loving on our students.
Mrs. Abrams’ love for teaching stems from her love of God and the children He creates.
Constance received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre Arts from California Lutheran University. Afterward, she obtained her Master of Arts Degree in Theatre Arts at California State University, Northridge. During her Master’s program, she worked as a student teacher in the CSUN Theatre Department as well as their Outreach Coordinator, where she would coordinate field trips for grades K-12. Toward the end of her Master’s program, she had a revelation and realized that her calling was to teach children through the Word of the Lord. After moving to Colorado, she obtained her Early Childhood Education License from the Friends Teacher Preparation Program. Now she is at RMCA fulfilling that revelation. Still, her theatre side hasn’t completely disappeared - she loves to incorporate song and dance in her classroom.
Outside of school, Mrs. Abrams loves spending time with her husband, John, and their cat, Gus. She is a fitness enthusiast with a love of running, hiking, paddle boarding, and cycling. This year, she plans to add snow sports to her repertoire.
Mrs. Ryane Drochner joined the RMCA staff in 2020, as a Pre-Kindergarten teacher aide. Ryane holds a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She completed her Undergraduate and Masters Degree, with a Masters of Science in Speech and Language Pathology, from Indiana State University. She has 15+ years experience with pediatric and adults in diagnosing and treating a variety of disorders. Ryane and her family moved to Colorado in 2015. Her three daughters have attended RMCA since 2015. Ryane was involved in Rocky MOPS since 2016 and was on leadership for 3 years. Ryane and her family attend Rocky Mountain Christian Church, where her husband and herself serve in guest services, RockyKids, and Special Friends (Special Needs Ministry). Ryane enjoys running, hiking, reading and any outdoor activities. She feels it is a privilege and joy to work at RMCA.
Ruxy Papineau has lived in Colorado most of her life, which is an easy place to explore her love of Photography. She and her husband, Andre got married in 2009 and have since lived in 4 states! They are now settled in Erie, Colorado, with their 3 girls who attend RMCA. She is excited to be part of the RMCA Family and currently serves in the Junior Kindergarten classroom. On the weekends, you can usually find her exploring the outdoors with a camera in her hand, cuddled up with a good book, or enjoying game night with close friends and family.
Janae Besch lived most of her life in Colorado where she met and married her husband, Tyler, in 2018. The two moved to Dallas where she obtained her Associates in Theology at Christ for the Nations Institute and Tyler graduated with a Bachelors in Business. They’ve since moved back and are settled in Mead, Colorado. In her spare time you can find her training her dog, hiking, refurbishing furniture, and soaking up time with family. She is excited to join RMCA and live out a dream of working with children and fostering relationships in a healthy work environment.
Ms. Patterson attended Bob Jones University and graduated in 2005 with her Associates in Office Administration and a Bachelors in Practical Christian Training. She has been part of the RMCA community since 2013 and loves being part of the Early Education team! Ms. Patterson is a Colorado native and still amazed by its beauty every day! She has 3 kids who attend RMCA. In her free time, she loves helping her kids with their cows, goats and ducks. Fair time is their favorite time! She loves finding new adventures together. She attends Faith Point church in Longmont and serves on the Worship team.
Mrs. Weber transitioned to her current position as Admissions Coordinator/Registrar in the summer of 2015. She began her time at RMCA as a fourth grade teacher in 2005. She taught third and fourth grades at RMCA for 10 years. Mrs. Weber grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and moved to Estes Park, Colorado after graduating from Hanover College, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. She taught third and fourth grades for six years in Estes Park before moving to Erie with her family. She and her husband, Derek, attend Rocky Mountain Christian Church. Both of their daughters attended RMCA.
Melissa Young grew up in Oklahoma and moved to Colorado in 1991. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor's degree in Personnel/Human Resource Management. Melissa married her high school sweetheart and they have a 19-yr old son, a 16-yr old daughter, and a domestic farm containing 2 dogs, 1 cat, 1 turtle and 6 chickens. Both children attended RMCA. Melissa worked at the school in various roles until she transitioned into her current role in Accounting/HR in 2016.

Ms. Hiles is originally from Tacoma, WA where she attended Clover Park Technical College to study Human Services and worked with Pierce County’s homeless population. Ms. Hiles transferred to Southern New Hampshire University to study psychology. She later, in 2021, moved to Colorado to be closer to relatives and began counseling at-risk youth in the Denver area. Ms. Hiles is a mother of two children who attend RMCA. They are all excited about growing together in a Christian education and atmosphere.
Mrs. Caswell taught 2nd grade at RMCA from 2018-2021. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Elementary Education from MSU. Sierra loves spending time with her husband and two daughters camping, gardening, and reading. She and her family have attended Rocky Mountain Christian Church for over 20 years.
